About COAM..

COAM was Started by Executive Director Melissa Romo, A mom of a son who has Autism and SPD .

She joined along side another community partner where she spent almost 7 years volunteering and providing support to families in the Central Oregon autistic community.

In the years of volunteering she founded and organized the Central Oregon Autism Walk, held Annually in Redmond OR.

With the many years of experience she decided to continue to help others by starting a local based nonprofit to meet the immediate needs of individuals and families with autism.

We believe that every person on the autism spectrum deserves the opportunity to thrive, share their strengths with the world, get the support they need and to be secure as well their families needs and support .
